We're getting ready for the big TWO! Here's my really quick version of a party hat that totally cracked me up. Case loved it! Soon came the, "Oh dear! Mama will fix it." I'll have to get a little more crafty for the final version. I just can't bring myself to spend money on branded character hats until I really have to. And maybe he'll always like homemade hats.
We're loving our mornings at the dance studio! This session was clearly about the duster Case found in the corner. His patience level for me dancing around and not giving him undivided attention is getting longer and longer. I was able to work on a movement phrase I created for a class I helped teach. I'm so excited to be back in the dance world!
I just love this picture of our little cherub eating his last breakfast in Brooklyn on a paper towel. Boxes everywhere, something different is definitely going on, but sure - I'll take that toast off your hands!
We recently moved just outside of Philadelphia to a town on the Main Line called Ardmore. It's lovely! We're in walking distance to just about everything we need. And we have family in West Philly. I lived in Brooklyn for sixteen years! It feels good to be in a new place.
Here's my first post done directly from my iPhone. After several "makings" I feel my homemade ginger lemon iced tea deserves a mention. It's very much inspired by my mother-in-law's recipe AND the fact that she left behind a whole box of organic ginger tea last time she visited. Thank you, Alicia! With just the right amount of sweetening, it's perfect over ice on a warm day. And I love any reason to use one of my vintage pitchers from Etsy.
Update: Not sure about trusting the iPhone Typepad app for decent photos and posting to the blog. I had to edit this post because I wanted the photo before the text to be consistent. I also changed the photo. This is also an iPhone photo, but it hasn't been "Instagram-ed." Hmmm.
It's a special day over here. Case is one year old today! He was born at 7:29 pm this evening so throughout yesterday and today I've been playing back my memory of his birth. It all started on Mother's Day a year ago, 8 am, and by the next evening we had an 8 pound 15 ounce baby boy who we named Case James Phinney. And oh how I love him!
